Lenzing Micromodal — The body
Micromodal is a cellulosic fibre derived from European beechwood, produced by Lenzing in Austria. Unlike cotton, its fibre is 3 times finer (1.0 denier vs 1.5), creating an exceptionally soft feel, close to silk.
Breathability — 50% more absorbent than cotton, it wicks moisture away from the fibre rather than holding it against the skin.
Softness — Softness index above 3.5 (cotton: 2.0). Second-skin sensation from the first touch.
Durability — Shrinkage below 3% after 20 washes. Standard cotton reaches 8-10%.
Polyamide-Elastane Mesh — The pouch
The targeted breathing zones (AirBridge pouch, crotch, inner thigh) use a technical mesh based on polyamide and elastane. This combination offers three essential properties:
Lightness — 110-130 gsm (vs 160-180 for the body). Reduces heat build-up where it is most problematic.
Controlled stretch — Elastane allows the mesh to adapt to movement without losing shape.
Quick drying — Polyamide dries 2 times faster than cotton, limiting stagnant moisture.
Soft elastic — The waistband
The 35 mm waistband is made from elastic covered in micromodal to avoid direct contact with the skin. No harsh silicone, no excessive compression. Just stable hold that disappears throughout the day.
Flat seams — The finishes
Sensitive areas (crotch, pouch contour) use flatlock seams that eliminate ridges. Result: less friction when walking, less irritation on the skin, more forgetting.
